Your role
Saab Sensor Technology Center is now further expanding its development unit in Tampere and is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Test Automation Lead!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning and developing the automated testing strategy, processes, and tools for the SSTC’s product development projects in close collaboration with DevOps and software development teams
- Taking ownership of the test automation architecture for the Saab Sensor Technology Center
- Continuously improving, maintaining, and documenting the existing test automation architecture
- Creating roadmaps, schedules, and overseeing the development of architecture-level features
- Collaborating with other development teams within Saab to define the shared test automation architecture and its components
- Actively participating in test automation development within the agreed scope
Your skills and experience
This is a wide role and to succeed in it some of the following skills and experience are required and some considered as an advantage, but not must-haves.
Required skills:
- Proven experience of automated test solutions architecture definition, development and documentation for products including test framework and tooling selections
- Deep knowledge of automated testing process, test and quality assurance strategies & methologies, test management tools, test system architectures, test tools and applications
- Experience of different open source and commercial test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, NI Test Stand etc.
- Experience of Python programming
- Familiar with agile development and delivery methologies and tools
- Ability to lead own and others work
- Good communication skills in Finnish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills, “considered as an advantage”:
- Experience from defence business
- Experience from automated test solutions development for embedded/RF & Microwave products
- Experience of different programming/scripting languages such as C++, C, Matlab
- Experience from test data management, result reporting and visualisation frameworks/tools
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
